| Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of Rezidor's broader commitment to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety. Our hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and Rezidor's corporate international charity organisation, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.
Here are some of the Responsible Business activities and achievements of this hotel:
- Take care about a good level of energy consumption ( optimize our new Technical Systems)
- Safety & Security Trainings of our Staff, to build awareness about security issues and how to reduce incidents e.g. accidents and health risks
- Responsible Business Training of our staff in Introduction Trainings and follow up Trainings to build awareness about the Program and encourage staff to live RB outside the job as well
- Optimize our Waste Sorting System
- Organizing Blood Donations with our Guests, neighboring corporate companies and Employees
- Create a co - operation with "Kindernetzwerk e.V." for charity events and support of this Organisation
- Fix one or two Charity Projects for Future
- Including our Guests in Responsible Business actions when ever possible e.g. money donation upon check out, increase awareness to save water and towels etc.
